A new private company, The Precisionists, has begun to make some serious headway in terms of helping individuals with various disabilities land jobs with companies such as Pfizer, UBS, Exelon Energy, and Vanderbilt University. A recent addition to this list of companies is KeyBank, who recently increased their hiring of individuals with autism and have been seeing results. The Precisionists aim to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to do meaningful work that is more appropriate to their skill sets. This company has the unique advantage of assessing individuals, matching them to a job, and then training them to do well in that job. Bob Darrow, an individual employed through this program said he’s “in the game” and feels like this job was a “godsend.” Their goal by 2025 is to create a total of 10,000 jobs for people with disabilities and provide more of these life changing opportunities.
