On September 19th, Shivani Patel, a graduate student in the lab, presented a proposal for a new study using EEG to investigate neural mechanisms of voice control in individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This work will provide insight into the integration of auditory feedback and motor control that contributes to maintaining appropriate intonation patterns during speech.
