On Saturday, October 28, Dr. Losh was a panelist at the “Autism Research Series: Discovery to Solutions” Town Hall, sponsored by Autism Speaks at Rush University in Chicago, where she highlighted the importance of studying phenotypes in autism. In this talk, Dr. Losh explained how deep characterization of specific autism characteristics (e.g., social communication) have the ability to help us better understand the complex heterogeneity observed across the autism spectrum.
The event also featured other expert panelists presenting information about the latest advances in autism research to support people with autism and their families. The NDL team had a great time meeting individuals with autism, their families, and members of the community that attended the Town Hall!
