Seeking families to help us solve the autism puzzle.
The Neurodevelopmental Diversity Laboratory at Northwestern University is currently recruiting participants for our Family Genetic Study of Autism, an investigation designed to:
- find patterns of language use and social skills among people with autism/fragile X and their family members; and
- use innovative technology and genetic analyses to explore developmental patterns among family members.
We’re searching for individuals with autism or fragile X syndrome and their parents, as well as individuals without autism and their parents. We are recruiting families in Illinois and from around the country. You can participate in person at our lab or remotely via online.
Your level of participation is up to you. Your commitment can range from simply answering some questionnaires to full participation – doing some tasks involving words, sentences, pictures, and sounds; doing puzzles; solving problems; and completing some brain-activity measurements.
This study is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health. All participants are compensated for their time, as well as for travel and parking.
